“I was under the impression the sponsorship had been paid,” says Biker Jim’s founder.
“We are currently working through this, and everything is operational,” Jeff Estey says.
“These warrants only happen as a last resort,” a city spokesman says.
“We could not overcome the legitimate fear for personal safety felt by our guests and the lack of office traffic,” owner Robert Thompson said.
The unit has sat unused since mid-2019.
Agave Shore is countersuing Matthew Burkett’s Flyfisher Group, accusing it of conspiring against the eatery.
“It is what it is and we’ll wait to see what the judge says,” restaurateur responded.
“Denver is a very different city,” said owner Kevin Daly, who said staffing was the main reason it stayed closed for so long.
The county bought the former Brewery Bar III building in January, then decided not to proceed with the planned use.
The efforts will expand the footprint of Homegrown Tap & Dough, Lady Nomada and Perdida.
