“We’re extending our wings,” founder Lorena Cantarovici said of the chain’s fifth restaurant.
“I’m sure anyone with their head screwed on right could do well here,” said Tony Pasquini, who is trying to sublease his pizzeria at 2400 W. 32nd Ave.
Kiki’s Fresh Bowls launched during the pandemic after the founders “realized that easy, fast-grab, healthy cuisine worked very well.”
After nine decades at 4403 Lowell Blvd., Billy’s Inn will also be serving tequila and tacos at 1222 Madison St.
R&R BBQ isn’t the only barbecue exiting Denver. Owlbear Barbecue in RiNo announced its closure last week.
“The work from home culture has changed everything. That in turn changes where it makes the most sense to put a restaurant,” said Pete Newlin of opening in Littleton.
Alex Seidel said the chicken chain is ready to “target some of those heavy family neighborhoods” like Greenwood Village. The pizzeria is close to his home.
The restaurant’s lease ends in March and the owners couldn’t reach an agreement with the landlord to stay, so it’s relocating from 2736 to 2883 Welton St.
Blazing Bird first opened in Arvada in 2020 and added restaurants in Fort Collins and Englewood last year.
