The property was most recently used by a used-car dealer. It last sold in 2016.
The institution is currently headquartered a block away.
Denver Water will leave 25 acres but keep its headquarters. The team has already bought private property in the area.
“When I joined, we were about 30 people, and now we’re 75 people. So we just kept trying to shove everybody in and knock down walls, and we’re just at a point where that’s just not working for us anymore.”
Infinity Properties executive Regan Schmergel called the plans “somewhat preliminary” in an email.
The 17 buildings within Denver West Business Park have 1.2 million rentable square feet.
“We are disappointed that a few owners filed this lawsuit seeking to block the will of the vast majority of owners.”
