“We love the location, we think it’s in the best part of downtown Denver,” MarketOnce CEO David McGrath said.
The building has been in foreclosure since spring 2024.
“Most of these key cities are underhoused, and there’s a massive drop of supply coming.”
The property last sold in 2016 for nearly $17 million.
Both hope to land DDA funds.
Eric Weins wants to be the first.
“It was a tough decision,” a CIG executive said. “Our founder and CEO hated to see a less-than-25-year-old building come down.”
The owner of the Symes wants a judge to declare it doesn’t owe anything more after defaulting on the building’s loan earlier this year.
The eight-story building was completed in 2020 and fetched $40.5 million the following year.
