“We’ve been consistently growing since 2020,” said IMA’s Rob Cohen, who always hoped to assume the space used by Gary Community Ventures.
“This piece of dirt has been there for 20-plus years, and I view it as a blight on the city,” Greenwood Village Councilman Paul Wiesner said.
Citadel’s seller acquired it at a discount in 2020.
The team will eventually cover the cost. “They came, we negotiated, they agreed and now we’re ready to close,” one seller said.
“I can stop this for a little while but that’s all I can do,” he tells Vail Inn condo owners.
But the building’s second-largest tenant recently renewed its lease.
The buyer appears to want to convert it into apartments.
JLL says it could be “a fantastic redevelopment opportunity for multifamily.”
The company has been around for 40 years, recently expanding to Georgia and Wisconsin.
