Great Divide Brewery will open its second facility tomorrow along Brighton Boulevard in the heart of RiNo.

The first phase of a two-phase construction process wrapped up Wednesday.

The first phase included a barrel-aging room, canning line, and the Barrel Bar tasting room.

“The Ballpark location is going to hit capacity in two years,” Great Divide founder Brian Dunn said. “Bottling and fermentation are the bottleneck. For the business to grow, we needed another place.”

The second phase of construction, which should wrap up in 2017, will add extra brewing and bottling facilities and a restaurant.

Dunn said that the brewery purchased the 5-acre property, but the Denver Assessor’s Office hasn’t recorded the property’s chain of title.

Great Divide built the new facility in RiNo because of the neighborhood’s popularity and its proximity to the brewery’s original facility at 2201 Arapahoe St., Dunn said.
