The nonprofit has requested rezoning of a site it’s owned for decades.
“We buy a lot of stuff in Wash Park and it was a pretty big lot,” Yoffe said.
“We’re treading water right now,” its owner says as he works to pay people.
Owner Jeff Estey says he wasn’t expecting this: “I’m trying to get it back open.”
