Due to the pandemic, the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association is requiring a single party to book its properties.
“No one builds a plan around 20 to 50 percent occupancy,” said franchise owner Avrum Elmakis, who will shutter two locations but keep his Cherry Creek gym open.
“There’s so much fear built into gyms being unsafe that it was really hard to get a client base back that wasn’t fearful of coming to the gym,” said Blunt Force Training owner Tiffany Coolidge.
Tee time reservations for the renovated and reopened course become available at midnight. They go fast.
“We don’t want to replace trainers or coaches,” an Exer Labs co-founder said. “We want to augment what you do with the person in real life.”
The franchisee is planning two more Denver metro area locations, which will be among 50 spas the company plans to open around the country.
“I feel like a comedian who can’t go on stage,” said Lollipop Park co-owner Nathan Elinoff of being shut down by the pandemic.
The first franchise location of Hydrate IV Bar opened in Fort Collins this month, and a deal has been signed for another in Arizona.
Owner Corina Lindley said she feels good about her other locations but customer demand is low right now because of the pandemic.
