Pour House Pub’s landlord says it is owed $55K after bar closed down due to coronavirus.
The Westminster club, which opened in the 1970s, was sold by the members last week to a golf course operator with a 20-course portfolio.
Timothy Lorman worked for the company for just over a year.
It’s the second time the building has sold since it was completed in 2015.
Don’t blame the virus: Owner Sam Kaufman, whose father Fred started the business, said his plan always has been to retire by the end of 2020.
Flywheel Sports opened at 1900 17th St. in 2018.
“My mother and grandmother have sold food for 40 years as vendors in the market, and I want to tell their story through my food,” the owner said.
The owners of the six units are under contract to sell the building, and the lot it sits on, to Houston-based developer Hines.
“Sometimes landlords are presumed to be bad, and I think this is a perfect example of a tenant trying to take advantage of the situation, not the landlord,” – landlord Don Schmitt
“We’re testing a different market,” said Elias Lehnert, whose family owns Colorado Cherry Co.
