Co-owner Jake Linzinmeir estimated that it took about $230,000 and “a lot of elbow grease” to get the basement up to code.
Molly’s Spirits is adding a location in Greenwood Village, which wouldn’t have been possible prior to this year.
“We’re fashionably late to the Denver beer market, which allowed us to see what models have worked,” said Ed Knudsen, co-owner of Barquentine Brewing Co.
The coffee shop has operated along Santa Fe Drive in Overland for three years.
Founder and CEO Jim Lamancusa modeled the concept to resemble Starbucks VIA instant coffee after realizing there was nothing comparable for tea drinkers.
Owner: “There are some great bars and restaurants on Main Street and on Wadsworth, but there really aren’t any unique bars or lounges where you can go sit and have a cocktail.”
“It’s just about the largest delinquent account we have in the city,” said a Lakewood Spokeswoman.
The addition to Deviation Distilling’s space along Santa Fe Drive has been long planned.
It was deemed one of the fastest-growing breweries in the country by a trade association last spring.
