A Bonnie Brae jewelry store is setting its last gem.
Bonnie Brae Jewelers at 753 S. University Blvd. will move out by Jan. 15, said property owner Ken Simon of Mountain Finance and Realty Co.
The jewelers had leased the space for over a decade, Simon said. He started searching for a new tenant for the 800 square feet a few weeks ago. Simon said he didn’t know if the shop is still open. It was closed during business hours earlier this week.
Mountain Finance owns roughly half of the retail space on the west side of University Boulevard between East Exposition and East Ohio avenues, according to Denver property records.
That includes Bonnie Brae Ice Cream, which Simon co-owns with his wife, Judy, and Cindy and Bob Pailet.
