Two years after its debut on the edge of Platt Park, Devour The 303 has permanently closed.

The American-style restaurant at 1135 E. Evans Ave., which also operated a dessert cafe called The Sweet Spot, announced on social media that its last day was Dec. 8.

“Thank you for all of your support over the last two years,” the post reads. “Unfortunately, we are unable to keep the doors open any longer. It was a pleasure being a part of the neighborhood and getting to know and become friends with all of you.”

Sam Armatas was the owner of Devour The 303.

Owner Sam Armatas, who previously co-owned Cap City from 2008 to 2015, did not respond to a request for comment.

Devour The 303, which was popular for its burgers, aimed to source ingredients locally, hence the name. The Sweet Spot, added last year, featured desserts from local bakeries, such as BitterSweets Bakery and Azucar Bakery.
