Steamboat Springs-based PowerIce is trying to raise $8 million, according to an SEC filing from earlier this month.
The company manufactures a hydration ice pop sold to athletes and hospitals.
The company, which did not return several calls seeking comment, said in the SEC filing that it has raised $210,000 so far.
The company was started in New York and moved to Steamboat Springs in the summer of 2012, according to a Denver Post story.
