A home across the street from Washington Park sold for $2 million this month.
The 4,247-square-foot home at 1220 S. Gilpin St. has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, sits on three lots and has elevated views of Washington Park, the mountains and Smith Lake.
Tim Pleune sold the house on May 1 to Myca Loar, according to public records.
Pleune is the co-founder of BOA Construction, which he started with his brother-in-law in 1972. More than 45 years later, the company now is owned by five partners. Pleune also has served as president of the National Association of Remodeling Industry’s Denver chapter and the Associated Builders and Contractors’ Denver group.
Loar is the founder of Shiny Bones, a Denver-based interior design company, according to her LinkedIn listing.
Ginger Wilson with Marlex Real Estate Corp represented Pleune.
“In addition to the location and mountain views, you get a straight-on view of the sunset every single night from the home’s two stories of windows,” Wilson said.
Address: 1220 S. Gilpin St., Denver
Closing Price: $2.1 million
Stats: The two-story home sits on a 9,450-square-foot lot. It was built in 1996 and features 3,262 square feet of finished space above ground, plus a 985-square-foot finished basement.
The finer things: This property’s main living room and master bedroom have unobstructed views from the two-story front-facing window. A private study with built-in storage and a wet bar also overlooks the park.
