Green Valley Ranch has a second major grocery store.
Lakewood-based Natural Grocers opened its 41st Colorado location on Wednesday at 18471 Green Valley Ranch Blvd. in the Denver neighborhood, across the street from King Soopers.
The nation’s largest family-operated natural and organic grocery retailer has a 15-year net lease on the 13,300-square foot building, which was developed by Equity Ventures Commercial Development and Wall Development.
The pair, acting as EVC-WDG Tower LLC, purchased 20.15 acres at the northwest corner of the intersection of Green Valley Ranch Boulevard and Tower Road last May for $8.6 million, according to public records. At the time, the developers said their plans for Gateway Crossing called for approximately 100,000 square feet of restaurant, retail and medical space across 20 buildings.
Last month, the developers sold the Natural Grocers building for $6.86 million to NG Tower LLC. Broker Cory Gross of Marcus & Millichap represented both sides in the transaction.
