San Francisco’s Painted Ladies have landed in Stapleton.

Maryland-based Parkwood Homes is building 36 homes modeled after the bright homes seen in movies and television shows, including “Full House.” The homes sit in rows of three to six and are found in two parts of Stapleton, Northend and Beller Park. About half of the homes have been completed.

“We’ve been building in Stapleton for close to 20 years but we’ve branded ourselves as the luxury boutique builder,” said Simon Liu, Parkwood’s marketing director. “We pay a lot of attention to architecture … We were really drawn to the Painted Ladies in San Francisco and wanted to see if we can bring that San Francisco painted style and blend it with Denver’s preferences.”

The seven Painted Ladies homes in San Francisco got their name from a 1978 book about the city’s architecture, according to Business Insider.

As of Tuesday, 12 homes in the Painted Ladies Collection in Stapleton remained for sale, according to Liu.

The single-family homes start in the $500,000s.

The single-family homes start in the $500,000s for approximately 2,200 square feet and range from three to six bedrooms. Logan Wilcox, vice president of Parkwood Homes, said most buyers are adding features and purchasing the single-family home in the $700,000s.

Parkwood offers three floor plans in the collection. Buyers also can choose to add a fourth-level loft and rooftop deck, bringing the home to approximately 3,000 square feet. Liu said roughly 80 percent of the buyers are opting for the rooftop deck.

“The homes get so much character from their eclectic design and rich colors, so they stand out from the styles we’re used to,” he said.

Stapleton has 10 homebuilders and 25 home collections.
