A newly listed Country Club home is looking to attract some green-thumbed buyers.

The quarter-acre property at 722 Humboldt St. — marketed as a “gardener’s dream” — hit the market last week, asking $2.4 million.

The property’s landscaping design was highlighted in May by the magazine Denver Life. Landscape architecture firm Lifescape Colorado told the magazine that it tried to mirror a European garden, adding greenery, colorful plants, pebbled paths and a two-tier entertaining area.

Earlier this month, two other Country Club homes hit the market, asking $6.5 million and $3.85 million. And last month, philanthropist and entrepreneur Tim Gill put his Country Club estate on the market at $3.85 million.

Last month, a home at 1070 Humboldt St. — just a few blocks from the newly-listed garden estate — was listed at $4.5 million.

Address: 722 Humboldt Street

List price: $2.4 million

Stats: The 4,400-square-foot home, built in 1903, offers four bedrooms and four bathrooms, all situated upon 0.23 acres.

The finer things: The property in Denver’s 7th Avenue Historic District is marketed as a “gardener’s dream.” The listing says that the home’s garden features fountains, bird baths, trellises, reading nooks, a wood-burning pizza oven, a hidden gazebo and multiple patios.

Inside, the home’s main floor includes a dining room, a living room, a family room, a chef’s kitchen and a glass-enclosed jacuzzi.

Four beds and three bathrooms can be found upstairs, as well as a rooftop deck and a third floor “tree-top balcony” off the second master bedroom.

The estate is less than a block from Cheesman Park, and the listing adds that it’s walking distance to the Botanic Gardens, bike paths, shopping and restaurants.

Seller: Dan M. Davis and Annette Rossi-Davis, who purchased the property in 1987 for $382,500, according to public records.
