A Cherry Creek mansion has hit the market with an eye-popping price tag just shy of $14 million.
That’s twice as much as the priciest home to sell in the neighborhood in decades.
The home, located at 460 Saint Paul St., is 11,800 square feet, and sits on one-third acre, according to the listing.
Jerry and Barbara Glauser are selling the property, per property records. It is being marketed by Gina Lorenzen of Kentwood Real Estate DTC; she did not respond to a request for comment.
Jerry Glauser has owned a handful of Glauser Mercedes-Benz dealerships, including one in Sarasota, Florida, and one in Westminster, according to media reports. In 2004, New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez brought on Glauser as a minority partner when he opened a Mercedes-Benz dealership near Houston.
The Sarasota and Houston dealerships have since been sold, according to news reports, and the Glauser name no longer is attached to the Westminster dealership.
BusinessDen chronicles the highest-priced home to sell in the Denver area each month. The most expensive home to sell in the Denver area in all of 2018 went for $8 million. So far this year, the biggest residential sale has been one of the penthouses atop the Four Seasons tower; that unit went for $10.75 million.
The priciest home to sell in Cherry Creek in the past decade, according to MLS records, is 333 Milwaukee St., which fetched $7 million in 2016.
Address: 460 Saint Paul St.
List price: $13.995 million
Stats: The five-bed, eight-bath home totals 11,800 square feet and sits on 0.31 acres.
The finer things: The mansion has 12-foot ceilings, heated floors and a two-story home gym. Upstairs, the master bedroom boasts a fireplace, a large seven-piece bath and a balcony with access to the home’s mountain-view rooftop deck. An elevator makes for easy travel between its two upper levels and the basement, which holds a home theater, yoga studio, massage room and private patio leading to an outdoor koi pond. A five-car garage also sits on the property.
Seller: Jerry and Barbara Glauser, who purchased 460 Saint Paul St. in 2004 for $4.2 million, according to public records. They also purchased 466 Saint Paul St. in 2005 for $850,000. The parcels appear to then be combined as 460 Saint Paul St.
