One of the city’s longtime gay bars is shutting down at the end of June.
Denver Wrangler at 3090 Downing St. will close June 25, according to its website. The bar catering to Denver’s LGBT community moved to the Whittier neighborhood in 2016 and doubled its space after 20 years in the Uptown neighborhood at 1700 Logan St.
JoelChip LLC, registered by owner Chris Dawkins, purchased the Downing Street building for $2.4 million in 2017, according to property records.
