A stretch of Santa Fe Drive just north of Sixth Avenue is slated for redevelopment.
Denver-based First Stone Development purchased 623, 625, 629, 635, 639, 647 and 649-657 Santa Fe Drive last week in two transactions totaling $2.65 million, according to property records.
The seller was Earl S. Stoner Family Trust.
The lots add up to 1.05 acres, and give First Stone control of the bulk of the block, with the exception of a car wash, library branch and two small commercial buildings.
CEO Lenny Taub did not respond to a request for comment. Last August, he submitted a project concept to the city proposing three-story townhomes to the rear of the lots and a five-story mixed-use building along Santa Fe.
The five-story building would have ground-floor commercial space with parking on the second floor and 70 residential units above that, according to the records.
The properties are currently home to three small, single-family homes and one- and two-story commercial buildings. Those structures would be demolished, according to the project concept.
First Stone has three other townhome projects in Denver, at 1530-1533 Irving St. in Sloan’s Lake, 3352-3360 38th Ave. in the Highlands and 4469 Tennyson St. in Berkeley.
