Randy Thelen has been named vice president of economic development for the Downtown Denver Partnership, effective Jan. 8. He is currently senior vice president of economic development for the Greater Omaha Chamber. He previously held the role of president of Lakeshore Advantage, an economic development organization in Western Michigan, and has played key roles in several urban development projects in Downtown Detroit. Thelen is also an entrepreneur. He has a Master of Arts in applied economics from New York’s Binghamton University in 1996.
Benjamin Pratt is economic development manager for the town of Erie. He has been vice president of the Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership in Erie, Penn. He is a graduate of Mercyhurst University.
Real Estate
At the Colorado Association of Realtors:
Elizabeth Peetz is vice president of government affairs. She is a licensed attorney in Colorado, Nebraska and Washington D.C., has been with the association’s government affairs division since January 2016 serving as government affairs manager. She has degrees from Colorado University – Boulder and Creighton University.
Madeline Cain has been promoted to government affairs manager.

Nancy Byington is an accountant. She has over 20 years of real estate accounting experience and will handle half of the company-owned shopping centers.
Linda Levine is an administrative assistant. Her experience includes commercial real estate and law firm support.
Hospitality
Bob Megazzini has been promoted by Sage Hospitality to serve as area general manager overseeing the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek and the Courtyard by Marriott Denver Downtown. He had been general manager of The Westin Cleveland Downtown. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in hotel, restaurant and travel administration.
Engineering
Ted Swan has been promoted to director, civil engineering, at Ware Malcomb.
Nonprofits
David Miller and Rick Pederson have been appointed to the board of trustees for the Boettcher Foundation, effective January. Miller is executive director of the Barton Institute for Philanthropy and Social Enterprise at the University of Denver. Prior to the Barton Institute he had been president and CEO of The Denver Foundation. He has degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Pederson is partner and chair of the advisory committee at Bow River Capital Partners and has degrees from the University of Denver.
Banking
Lisa Douglas has been named trust officer, vice president for Key Private Bank. Prior to joining KeyBank, Douglas was vice president, client service manager for Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management.
Investing
Andy Mountain has been named President and CEO of GBSM. Mountain joined GBSM in 2004 and has been part of the firm’s management team since 2009.
