Demolition is in full swing at the future site of 31-story towers with views of Denver Country Club.

Heavy machinery is hacking away at a row of 1940s-era apartments near the Bayaud Avenue and Downing Street.

Broe Real Estate Group, an affiliate of The Broe Group, is the developer on the project. The firm declined to comment Thursday through a spokesman. According to a construction website launched earlier this year, Country Club Towers II will welcome its first renters in July 2016.

Plans call for 558 apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows. Amenities listed include a 20,000-square-foot deck, fitness center, yoga room, bike repair station and dog wash area. Country Club Towers will also have 1,005 structured parking spaces and a car wash area.

In addition to building a pair of 300-foot towers, Broe Group plans to renovate adjacent buildings at the roughly 8-acre Country Club Gardens site.

Swinerton Builders in the general contractor on the Country Club Towers site and Solomon Cordwell Buenz is designing the project.
