The Hilltop neighborhood landed the highest-priced home sale in August. Located at 15 S. Dexter St. a few blocks northeast of Colorado Boulevard and Alameda Avenue, the home sold for $3.5 million, according to multiple listing service REcolorado.

Address: 15 S. Dexter Street

Price: $3.5 million

Stats: Built in 2008, the two-story home features 8,601 square feet, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It sits on 0.3 acres.

Listing broker: Jeff Manley with RE/MAX Professionals. It originally was listed for $3.75 million.

Buyer: Rosa Hong and Russell Cassella purchased the home from Robert and Kristen Moghim on Aug. 21, according to Denver property records. Robert Moghim is a physician and founder of medical company Onyx M.D.

Amenities: The stucco home comes with an indoor gym, wine room and newly renovated theater room. With stucco and granite finishes, the home has five fireplaces, an outdoor patio and a heated driveway.

The following four most-expensive homes to sell in the metro area last month all topped $3 million, according to REcolorado and property records:

-1 Cherry Lane Drive, Cherry Hills Village – $3.1 million

-15200 E. Girard Ave., Aurora – $3.2 million

– 763 Emberglow Lane, Highlands Ranch – $3.2 million

– 70 S. Ash St., Denver – $3.3 million
