Six months after purchasing a $5.4 million mountain getaway, an NFL lineman has reversed field and listed that Evergreen mansion.
Paul Kruger, a defensive end for the New Orleans Saints, is selling his six-bedroom, 10-bathroom residence at 6917 Timbers Drive. The 32-acre property was listed on June 30 for $8.5 million.
Kruger, 31, has played for the Saints since 2009. BusinessDen reported the purchase of the $5.4 million estate in January, which topped home sales that month. According to its recent listing, the expansive estate totals 17,291 square feet and includes a finished two-bedroom guest house located above a six-stall horse barn.
The home is fit for any athlete with a half-court basketball area, in addition to a separate workout room and spa. With dark wooden panels, vaulted ceilings and a tall stone fireplace, the home features rustic but clean finishes, a media room and a wine cellar. Built in 1975, the home was remodeled in 1998, property records show.
Outdoors, the home features waterfalls that empty into a pool surrounded by a patio, deck and outdoor kitchen. A large fenced arena is included for horse training at the residence as well.
The property is located within the gated community called Timber Estates of Evergreen, about seven miles north of Conifer.
Emily Henderson with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty is listing the property.
