Broadway already boasts its share of graffiti, but a shared office startup is inviting a little more.
Artists plugged away at Ignitrr last week, coating more than 200 feet of wall space at the forthcoming office with spray-paint murals. The group, led by Denver-based artist Brian Simmonds, splashed some color on what Ignitrr’s co-founders called an “empty industrial box” on Broadway.
Ignitrr is a shared office and incubator business owned by Brock Predovich and Dean Haritos. The pair signed a lease on their 9,000-square-foot space at 445 Broadway last December. Earlier this year, Ignitrr advertised lease rates ranging from $300 for a desk to $1,800 for its larger offices.
Predovich and Haritos hoped to bring about 30 different companies into Ignitrr by opening. The pair hopes to turn a profit on the business not only by leasing space, but also by investing money in some of Ignitrr’s member companies.
