Larimer Square’s landlord wants to bring the whole party to the square.
Larimer Associates has opened a new event venue in time for the holiday party rush at a former second-story nightclub overlooking Larimer Square. It’s a 6,800-square-foot spot called Larimer Social that marketing and events manager Jacey McDaniel said is long overdue.
“We’ve had requests so many times throughout the years from groups looking for an events venue on Larimer Square,” she said. “And a lot of the restaurants get requests to host events for more than 200 people, and they just aren’t able to.”
Larimer Social sits at 1427 Larimer St., at the former home of VIE Nightclub. The nightclub closed in September, and McDaniel said it took only about six weeks to turns the space into an event venue.
Larimer Social is rolling out with eight-hour rates starting at $2,500 for weekdays and $4,000 for weekends. That figures for four hours of party time and four hours of setup and takedown. The space can accommodate 200 seated guests and as many as 480 for an open, standing reception.
The venue will operate year-round, chasing events like weddings, corporate events, breakfasts and other get-togethers.
Larimer Associates, which owns the entire 1400 block of Larimer Street, also wants to boost business for their Larimer Square restaurant tenants with the new venue. Their preferred caterers, aside from one larger catering company, are all Larimer Square restaurants including TAG, Bistro Vendome and Tamayo.
