One response to “Italian restaurant and bakery closes in Wheat Ridge”

  1. Beyond sad, this confirms the fragile hope I’ve nurtured since a January drive-by over my son’s delicate protest, “I think they’re closing Ma.” and found a parking lot full of people traipsing about with furniture and other odds and ends. It looked like the scene from when The Hobbit finally comes home. Vincenza’s cannolis were the closest to, and as good as many of those found in the bakeries of my hometown Boston, Mass. I’ll dearly miss the bow-tie cookies and their meatballs were tender – nothing like the softball-sized, and just as hard, letdowns at other so-called Italian places. It’s a sad fact, the good places never last because too many people settle for mediocrity. I’m truly bummed out.
