The alcohol will still be flowing at the corner of Colfax Avenue and Pearl Street, only now it will be on cotton swabs and sterilizing pads instead of beer from the Cheeky Monk and Lost Highway Brewing Co.

Arizona-based Urgent Care Extra leased 4,000 square feet of retail space at 520-534 E. Colfax Ave. along with three other locations near Denver as part of a push into Colorado, according to a release from brokerage NAI Shames Makovsky

Lost Highway Brewing is still open at the Colfax location, though its owners, the same family that owned Cheeky Monk, have announced plans to move to a new location. The 4,000-square-foot Urgent Care Extra lease would account for about half of the Colfax Avenue building.

The Colfax building is owned by Dallas-based Leon Capital Group, which bought the real estate earlier this month for $3.75 million. Company representatives did not return phone messages seeking comment.

The other Urgent Care Extra locations will be in Broomfield, Lakewood and Westminster, and each lease ranged from 3,000 square feet to 6,000 square feet.

Urgent Care Extra does not list any Colorado locations for the company on its website, though there are dozens in Arizona. Local Shames Makovsky broker Bill Maher represented Urgent Care Extra in its series of Denver leases alongside Ohio-based broker Nathan Palmer of UC Realty.
