In the Denver metro area, the most expensive home sold in February was an $8.8 million Cherry Hills mansion that went under contract in 13 days.
In total, three homes in Boulder and two in Cherry Hills Village made the top five.
The top sale, 33 Viking Drive, was made by Darlene and Peter Emory, founders of Sam Wyatt Homes. The couple bought the home in August 2020 for $2.3 million.
The home, constructed in 1987, sits on an acre. The fully renovated 8,733-square-foot, six-bedroom, seven-bath mansion features a two-story foyer with floor-to-ceiling woodwork and custom-stained wood floors.
The new primary suite wing creates a retreat with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a bathroom with heated floors, a steam shower, a bidet, a soaking tub and dual sinks.
The home’s lower level includes a theater, recreational area, wet bar and fitness center with a second steam shower and a cold plunge pool.
Darlene Emory, also an agent with Coldwell Banker Realty 24, listed the property. Rachel Quincey with LUX Living represented the buyers, 33 Viking Drive Trust.
