Devon Toews, who signed a seven-year contract extension with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche in October, listed his 6,185-square-foot Belcaro mansion on Jan. 11 for $4 million.
Toews and his wife, Kerry, bought the 865 S. Steele St. mansion for $2.9 million in March 2021.
Constructed in 2020, the six-bedroom, five-bath home has two fireplaces. The open floor plan on the first floor includes a kitchen with an island, dining area, living room and office space.
The second floor features a primary suite with a five-piece bath. The finished basement includes a recreation room and a wet bar with a built-in wine refrigerator.
Rachel Quincey with LUX Living represents the sellers.
Toews signed an entry-level contract with the New York Islanders in 2016. He joined the Avalanche in October 2020, signing a four-year, $16.4 million contract, and helped the team win the Stanley Cup in June 2022.
Toews signed a seven-year contract extension in October. That $50.75 million deal works out to $7.25 million per season.
“(I’m) happy,” Toews said in October. “It took all summer, but I’m happy we were able to find some middle ground and get a deal done. Family, everything — we’re happy to be in Colorado and happy to be with the Avs for another seven (years).”
