Another national furniture brand is making its Denver debut in Cherry Creek.
Ballard Designs opened its first Colorado showroom at 240 St. Paul St. this week.
Ballard secured 4,800 square feet on the ground floor of the six-story office building, which was completed in 2021 by Matt Joblon’s BMC Investments and sold in 2022 to Denver-based Gart Properties.
Ballard sells an array of furniture, including kitchen tables, bed frames and sofas, as well as home decor such as wallpaper and drapes. Its sofas range from $900 to $7,000, according to its website.
Helen Ballard founded Ballard in 1983 and is known for its traditional furniture styles, although the business said it offers styles from “all periods.” Qurate Retail Group, which owns six retail brands, acquired it in 2017.
The company said in a news release that the Cherry Creek opening is part of a larger plan to open 22 stores in 20 states. Ballard currently has stores open in 12 states, according to its website.
Cherry Creek, which has become a high-end furniture hub, had a handful of furniture firms move in last year, including Joybird, Roche Bobois and Natuzzi. Those companies joined firms such as West Elm, Crate & Barrel, HW Home and Arhaus.
