A former Five Points Burger King is back on the leasing market.

Property owner Darius Kerman said the 2,000-square-foot restaurant at 3200 N. Downing is available once again after Utah-based Feastbox pulled out of the deal

The barbeque joint that attempted to offer various styles, like Hawaiian and Texas, was founded in 2022 by Jody Rookstool and opened several locations this year, three of them in Colorado.

Feastbox could not be reached for comment. But Kerman said he was told the brand is either “shrinking” or “shutting down” its local locations. The Feastbox at 2300 S. Broadway in Denver, which opened in May, was padlocked Wednesday.

Feastbox also had a location in Littleton, which Yelp reviewers report has closed. No one answered the phone on Wednesday afternoon at that location, as well as at any of Feastbox’s Utah locations.

Kerman, owner of the local AFC Urgent Care chain, said he’s still searching for a new operator to move into the Burger King space. He bought the building for $1.8 million last year as a “Plan B” for an AFC location.
