American Financing founder and CEO Damian Maldonado is selling two nearby multimillion-dollar homes.

Maldonado listed the 6,000-square-foot house at 1991 E. Alameda Ave. #5 for $6 million. He purchased the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home in December 2021 for $4.3 million.

Maldonado also is selling “Circa 1918,” a historic Washington Park bungalow with a pool and a rooftop deck, for $2.2 million.

Robert “Bo” Palazola with NestSeekers Colorado represents Maldonado on both properties.

The four-bedroom, five-bath, 6,041-square-foot home on Alameda sits on 0.47 acres on the south side of the Denver Country Club golf course.

The two-story home features an open floor plan and lots of natural light.

Palazola said since buying the home, Maldonado whitewashed the red brick exterior and updated the decking to add a new landing with a hot tub.

The gated home provides “location, location, and privacy,” Palazola said.

“You have Cherry Creek in your backyard and unobstructed views of Denver’s skyline, the golf course, and the mountains.”

Palazola said the two-story home’s open-floor plan makes it ideal for entertaining and family living.

Maldonado lives part time in Puerto Rico and plans to downsize to a smaller home in Wash Park, Palazola said.

1281 S. High Street

The home at 1281 S. High St. in Denver is listed for $2.3 million.

The finance company executive didn’t live in the five-bedroom, three-bath home at 1281 S. High St. He bought the 3,514-square-foot home built in 1918 for $1.2 million in July 2021.

Maldonado, who listed the home for $2.3 million on May 29 before dropping the price, updated the rooftop and made improvements outside, including adding new turf grass, Palazola said.

The home, which provides a traditional bungalow feel on the main floor, is “the ultimate outdoor paradise in Wash Park,” the realtor said. The home’s lower level includes a movie theater and a wet bar.

According to his company’s website, Maldonado was 21 when he founded American Financing Corp. with his wife Gabie in 1999, using $5,000 on his credit card. Now, the national mortgage banker airs commercials featuring celebrities like Peyton Manning.

He founded American Home Agents, a residential real estate brokerage, in 2004.
