Seventy BusinessDen readers ventured to the high country last week for BusinessDen’s third annual DenX Retreat.

The two-night event held May 14-16, an offshoot of our DenX women’s networking series, was held at Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa in Grand County, and presented by the law firm Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti.

For three days, guests enjoyed networking, fireside discussions and a variety of activities ranging from yoga to hiking and massages — all under bright, sunny skies.

Nearly a third of attendees had been to all three retreats.

Opening remarks were made by Berg Hill Greenleaf and Ruscitti Partner Sally Piskun, Collegiate Peaks Bank Regional President Kris Greeno, Realtor Lauren Vollono, GE Johnson Construction Co. Development Director Elaine Kanelos and BusinessDen Director of Events and Advertising Samantha Sarine.

Sheryl Ziegler, a clinical psychologist, gave a keynote address, speaking about burnout in the workplace, mental health and parenting. More intimate fireside chats were led by Jice Johnson of the Black Business Initiative and Tran Nguyen-Willis of the beauty brand Base Coat.

Additional sponsors for the event were GE Johnson, Collegiate Peaks Bank, Sunnyside Flats at Winter Park Resort and Tubby Todd Bath Co.
