A commercial lighting manufacturer is laying off staff and closing its Denver office seven years after being acquired.
Pinnacle Architectural Lighting said in a letter to the state Tuesday that it will lay off 151 employees as it merges facilities and operations in Denver and Kenosha, Wisconsin.
As part of the “restructuring and reorganization,” a company official wrote, the Pinnacle office at 3801 Havana St. in Denver will close. Layoffs will occur between June and the first quarter of 2024.
Pinnacle, which didn’t respond to requests for comment from BusinessDen, was founded in 2004. In 2016, the company was acquired by Legrand North America, part of a French conglomerate specializing in the sale of electrical devices and accessories for buildings.
The company notified the state in an effort to comply with the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, which requires large employers to provide advance notice of plant closings and significant layoffs.
Other companies that have informed the state of layoffs this year include British apparel firm GymShark and California-based Specialized Bicycles.
