Office Depot plans to close its store at 616 E. Colfax Ave. in the Cap Hill neighborhood.
Large “Closing” signs have been posted on the building. An employee working Wednesday said the store’s last day will be Dec. 10.
The store opened in December 2012, according to Denver Post coverage at the time.
Office Depot corporate did not respond to a request for additional information. The company is owned by Florida-based The ODP Corp., which also owns OfficeMax.
The Cap Hill closure isn’t ODP’s only in the region. An OfficeMax at 410 Center Drive in Superior and an Office Depot at 23860 E. Orchard Road in Aurora will both close Nov. 12, employees at those locations said by phone Wednesday.
Office Depot also closed at least three area stores in 2021. Those stores were at 1585 Wynkoop St. and 705 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver, and 895 W. Hampden Ave. in Englewood.
