Torchy’s to light up Lowry with taco chain’s fifth Denver restaurant

Torchy’s is giving another Denver neighborhood something to taco ‘bout.

The Austin-based taco chain is planning to open its fifth Denver restaurant and 10th location in Colorado in the spring of 2022 at 63 N. Quebec St. in Lowry, according to company spokeswoman Marisa Patterson.

Torchy’s will be part of the Exchange at Boulevard One retail center, which is being developed by Englewood-based Kelmore Development and Denver-based Confluent Development.

Torchy’s is known for “damn good tacos” with inventive fillings, including fried chicken, Jamaican jerk chicken, green chile pork and fried avocado.

The complex is set to be anchored by Target, which opened this week, and Clark’s Market. Other tenants include SCL Health, Sushi Ronin, Mod Pizza, YogaSix and Logan House Coffee.

Torchy’s opened its first Colorado Springs location this week at 1358 Interquest Parkway and has other locations in Fort Collins, Highlands Ranch and Greenwood Village, in addition to Denver.

Torchy’s started in 2006 out of a trailer, and now has more than 90 locations around the U.S. The company is known for its inventive fillings, including fried chicken, Jamaican jerk chicken, green chile pork and fried avocado.
