The Charlotte-based real estate firm that loves Tennyson Street has made another buy.
Asana Partners, which is also the new owner of Larimer Square, paid $1.73 million earlier this week for the retail space at 4144 Tennyson St., on the ground floor of a three-story condominium building dubbed Streetcar Lofts.
The unit is leased to Alchemy 365, a fitness studio. It’s 4,844 square feet, according to property records, which makes the deal worth $356 a square foot.
Asana has now paid about $11.25 million for Tennyson retail buildings over the last 20 months. Here are the previous deals:
June 2019: Purchased 4000 Tennyson St. for $1.8 million
September 2019: Purchased 3926-3930 Tennyson St. for $1.74 million
October 2019: Purchased 3971-3973 Tennyson St. for $2.04 million
March 2020: Purchased 3963 Tennyson St. for $1.3 million
December 2020: Purchased 3955 Tennyson St. for $2.7 million
Asana hasn’t been behind every buy on Tennyson in recent months. The owners of Sarah O. Jewelry purchased the building the business shares at 4415-4423 W. 43rd Ave. in November.
Asana’s piecemeal approach to Tennyson Street stands in contrast to its December purchase of Larimer Square. In that case, the company could buy the block in one fell swoop because it was controlled by a single owner.
