Englewood mansion sells for $6.9 million, tops December home sales

An Englewood mansion that sold for $6.9 million led last month’s home sales.

The 14,000-square-foot home on 2.5 acres at 1175 E. Radcliff Ave. features seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. 

Josh Behr of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty brokered the deal and represented both the sellers, Amelia A. Hayden Revocable Trust and Matthew W. Hayden Revocable Trust, and the buyers, Michael and Nicole Conroy. The sale closed Dec. 29.

Based on MLS data, here are the next four most expensive home sales in the Denver area for December:

140 S. Glencoe St. in Denver: $5.8 million

Buyer’s agent: Melissa Craven of Compass-Denver

Details: This 7,000-square-foot contemporary Denver mansion sold for $50,000 less than when it was previously purchased in September 2022 by 140 S Glencoe LLC.

The mansion built in 2017 features four bedrooms and six bathrooms. The outdoor area includes a heated patio, resort-style pool and a full kitchen. The basement has a bar and a gym.

The LLC listed the mansion for sale June 24 for $6.2 million. The sale to buyer 140 Glenco LLC closed Dec. 18 for $5.8 million.

Details: The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath condo that occupies a half-floor at NorthCreek Flats in Cherry Creek North sold Dec. 17 for $500,000 less than Second Casa LLC bought it for in August 2024. 

The condo, which is accessible via a private elevator, features an open layout with floor-to-ceiling windows and a 1,000+-square-foot private terrace. 

Second Casa bought the condo for $6.25 million, listed it for the same price July 17, and lowered the price to $5.95 million Oct. 15. It went under contract Dec. 1, and 2800 E 2nd Avenue LLC closed on the condo for $5.75 million Dec. 17.

Details: Marie Logsden and Matt Buckstein, co-founders of Driven Plastics, purchased the 8,300-square-foot mansion at 3 Carriage Brook Road in Cherry Hills Village for $3.6 million in June 2022. The couple, who envisioned transforming the Mediterranean-style home into a desert spa retreat, spent 18 months renovating it with the help of Scout Interiors and Hut Collective. 

They modernized the bathrooms and kitchen, restored original features like the ornate front door and ceiling beams, and incorporated custom pieces crafted by Colorado artisans.

The couple, who plan to downsize to a smaller home in Denver, are also building a house in Buena Vista and managing the plastics plant in Pueblo. They listed the home for $6.2 million in April. 

The couple lowered the price to $6 million in May and to $5.8 million in June. The mansion went under contract Oct. 21, and the Frank Family Trust closed on it for $5.6 million Dec. 3.

580 S Franklin St LLC bought the property for $1.6 million in December 2021. The LLC listed it for $6.7 million in September 2024, then lowered the price four times in the next year to $5.7 million. Michael Eric Jansen closed on the home for $5 million Dec. 29.
