With Blendings Winery, Tiffany Weber went back to her roots.
The former Banner Health CFO said agriculture has always been a part of her family. Her grandfather was a dairy farmer, and she grew up on a corn and wheat plot.
But when she opened the Fort Collins vineyard and wedding venue in 2021, Weber wasn’t in Kansas anymore.
“I could drink wine like a champ, I love red wine,” she joked. “But I had never made it before.”
Since then, she’s grown the six-acre plot at 3924 Bingham Hill Road to have 54 grape varietals alongside a 150-person event space. Weber said about 40 events a year are held in the building, which used to house a girls basketball camp.
In its tasting room, Blendings offers your traditional whites and reds alongside more exotic flavors like caramel apple. Customers can pick up on site or order bottles online.
