Congress Park Taproom, a bar with a selection of 30 beers, closed June 11. It opened at 833 Colorado Blvd. in 2016.
“We appreciate the love and support the neighborhood has shown us over the last 9 years,” the business posted on Instagram. “Coming to this decision was not easy, but we came to the conclusion that now was the time.”
The spot was known for Wednesday night trivia, big-screen TVs for sports fanatics and its breadth of offerings. It also served Rocky Mountain Pizza and soft pretzels.
The Taproom did not respond to a request for comment from BusinessDen.
The closure comes during a rough stretch for Colorado breweries.
Last year, 41 spots shut their doors, up from 31 in 2023.
This year, Blue Moon in RiNo, Tivoli Brewing at Auraria Campus, Burns Family Artisan Ales and, most recently, Great Divide’s taprooms in Ballpark and RiNo all announced they were shutting.
