Rancher’s space is roughly a 1,000-square-foot main floor with a 119-square-foot mezzanine. It shares the building with CYL Infrared Studio and Yoga Box.
Shantell Girard and her husband Kenny, both 33, founded Rancher Hat Bar in January 2023, selling custom orders out of a trailer in northern California. They opened their first brick-and-mortar storefront in Folsom, California, in April 2023 and now have their headquarters and two additional locations in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Rancher Hat Bar sells made-to-order hats, with customers choosing from a variety of styles, accessories and customizations. The storefronts also host parties and corporate events. The average price for a custom hat, Girard said, is $115.
“We offer a large selection with hats in every price range,” Girard said. “We have everything from straw and trucker hats to higher-end beaver hats and Gigi Pips, but our philosophy is that everyone leaves with a hat.”
Girard said that, along with Denver, Rancher plans to open three other locations around the country later this year.
“Cherry Creek and Denver have a great market and have the cowboy culture that we love,” Girard said. “We’re super excited to be coming to Denver … People ask us all the time to come here, and so I think people are going to be just as excited.”
The Zall Co. represented the landlord in the deal.
