Top April home sales: Dish CEO buys in Cherry Hills, Lakewood lands on list

April’s priciest residential sales in the Denver metro area included a Lakewood mansion that sold off-market and four Cherry Hills Village homes, including two on the same block. 

The priciest sale was 4949 S. Franklin St. in Cherry Hills Village, built in 2023, which RSI GST Trust purchased on April 24 for its $8.5 million list price.

MJC Development Co. LLC, which purchased the property in 2021 for $2 million, sold the 8,792-square-foot mansion. Josh Behr with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty represented both the buyer and seller. 

The six-bedroom, eight-bath Marin County-inspired farmhouse sits on a private 1.19-acre lot in Old Cherry Hills. Its open floor plan features vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

According to research and MLS data, here are the next four most expensive home sales in April.

5001 S. Holly St., Cherry Hills Village: $6.25 million

Details: This 12,000-square-foot Harrison custom two-story brick home that offers panoramic mountain vistas sold in less than a month for $50,000 over its $6.2 million list price. 

The seven-bedroom, 11-bath mansion was constructed in 2000 and sits on 2.3 acres. The gated home features a primary suite with a private patio and an opulent bathroom with two showers. 

It also offers a guest suite with a kitchenette and sitting area. The lower level includes a gym, a bar with a 3,000-bottle custom wine cellar and a theater. 

Outside, the home includes a wrap-around deck overlooking a pool, hot tub and fire pit. 

Hamid Akhavan-Malayeri, CEO of Douglas County-based Dish Network, and his wife Joanne purchased the home from Sean and Jennifer Myers.

Constructed in 1995, the six-bedroom, nine-bath home is located at the end of a private cul-de-sac in a guard-gated golf community. 

The mansion was completely renovated, and features a gourmet kitchen and a primary suite with a spa-inspired bath and a hydrotherapy tub. 

The guest suite features a five-piece bath, a living room with a gas fireplace and a mini-kitchen. The patio includes a year-round hot tub and fire pit.

Daniel and Whitney Noven purchased the home from Adam and Megin Wolfman, who bought it in 2019 for $3.6 million. 

Daniel Noven is the president/managing director at Noven Financial Group and SRS Capital Advisors. Whitney Noven is the executive director of the Noven Foundation, which provides financial assistance for extracurricular activities for children in foster care. 

Adam Wolfman is an analyst/sector team lead at Janus Henderson Investors. Megin Wolfman is senior vice president, chief strategy officer and chief of staff with Americares, a global health and disaster relief organization.  

6375 W. Lakeridge Road, Lakewood: $5.35 million

Details: This 11,500-square-foot mansion sold off-market. The six-bedroom, 10-bath home was constructed in 1983. 

At $5.35 million, it’s the second-highest home sale in Lakewood. Nearby 6900 W. Lakeridge Road sold for $6.5 million in 2018, according to MLS records. 

According to Jefferson County property records, Joshua M. Erlich bought the home for $1.7 million in 2013.

Erlich is the principal and vice president of Summit Resources, a land management company that specializes in industry-specific consulting services, including appraisals, acquisition and property management. 

He sold the property to Caitlin M. Alexander.
