Lincoln’s Roadhouse has been hosting blues bands and serving up cajun food for over 20 years in Platt Park.
But now, its future is uncertain.
Restaurant owner Jim Housley is looking to sell the 5,170-square-foot building on a 3,700-square-foot lot at 1201 S. Pearl St. for $2.4 million, according to a LoopNet listing. The sale price comes out to $464 per square foot.
Housley, acting as Amalgamated Property Group LLC, purchased the site in 1993 for $120,000, records show.
Housley declined to comment on the listing.
The blues bar and restaurant serves Louisiana-style food, such as the $14 po’boys and $13 jambalaya, and has live music every Friday and Saturday (and often other days), according to its website.
According to marketing materials, the two-story space includes an office and patio. The property is advertised as a turnkey restaurant, meaning an operator could take over the space without needing to build it out.
The area around Lincoln’s Roadhouse, which includes RTD’s Louisiana / Pearl light rail station, has seen change in recent years. Adjacent to Lincoln’s are two new apartment buildings, at 1190 S. Pennsylvania St. and 1250 S. Pearl St., which recently replaced Butchel Motors and a car wash.
Another neighborhood restaurant staple, Hanson’s Grill & Tavern — which operated one block south of Lincoln’s — closed in 2020. Its building sold for $2.6 million that same year to an affiliate of Greenwood Village-based Cadence Capital, but has been vacant since. Cadence didn’t respond to recent requests for comment regarding its plans for the property.
