Maybe the line will get a bit shorter.
The Snooze brunch chain is preparing to expand its original restaurant at 2262 Larimer St. in the Ballpark neighborhood.
The expansion, which will take it from 2,870 to 4,100 square feet, will see the restaurant expand into the neighboring 2252 Larimer St. building, according to permit applications.
“The remodel will increase both our seating area and the heart of the house (kitchen), as well as bring updates to the look and feel of the space,” Snooze spokeswoman Callie Sumlin said.

Snooze opened at 2262 Larimer St. in 2006 and now has about 50 locations around the country. There are 13 locations here in Colorado along the Front Range.
The company owns that building. And it has controlled the neighboring 2252 Larimer property since 2014 when an affiliated LLC paid $1.75 million for it, records show. The building was previously home to a Barre Code fitness studio, which closed in 2021.
Snooze’s menu includes everything from brunch cocktails like mimosas and bloody Marys to French toast and breakfast burritos. Entrees top out at about $18.
Sumlin said the restaurant will close for about a month during construction, but the company doesn’t yet know when that work will begin. It’s expected to be completed by early 2024.
