A French contemporary furniture company is opening a showroom across from the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
Roche Bobois is going in at the northwest corner of 1st Avenue and Fillmore Street, according to signs posted on the unit, which indicate a spring opening.
The unit was previously occupied by Hermes, the luxury handbag maker, which moved across the street to the mall.
Roche Bobois has showrooms across 50 countries, but this will be the first in Colorado.
The company, which didn’t respond to questions by press time, opened in 1950 and works with designers and fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaulitier, according to its website. Sofas range from $1,500 to $40,000.
The similarly high-end Italian furniture brand Natuzzi, meanwhile, plans to open a showroom one block to the west.
