A group of high-producing multifamily brokers in Denver have jumped from Newmark to CBRE.
The real estate services firm announced Wednesday that Terrance Hunt, Shane Ozment and Chris Cowan have joined CBRE as vice chairmen. Six others also joined the firm in lower positions.
Hunt and Ozment handle many of the region’s high-eight-figure or nine-figure apartment complex sales. They represented the seller in the 2016 sale of the Breakers Resort complex for $350 million, which set a record for the state.
Hunt has been involved in transactions totaling $13 billion over his 25-year career, and Ozment in transactions totaling $9 billion over 19 years, according to CBRE. The pair has been named top multifamily broker by NAIOP Colorado or the Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors (DMCAR) each of the past seven years.
Cowan, meanwhile, specializes in the sale of sizable tracts of urban and suburban land, typically for multifamily or mixed-use development. He has been recognized as a top broker by DMCAR or NAIOP Colorado six of the last seven years and was named Broker of the Year by DMCAR in 2017.
All three had been at Newmark since 2014, when Newmark acquired Apartment Realty Advisors.
Also joining CBRE are Justin Hunt and Andy Hellman, as senior vice presidents, and Spencer Bradley as vice president. They specialize in mid-market sales.
Kevin McKenna and Saul Levy, meanwhile, who focus on southern Colorado, also join as executive vice president and senior vice president, respectively. And Jessica Graham, who serves as the team’s investment sales manager, made the jump as well.
