Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill has trimmed its Denver-area footprint.

The Utah-based restaurant chain permanently closed locations in Arvada and Denver’s Stapleton neighborhood in April, a company representative confirmed this week.

The Arvada location was at 7450 W. 52nd Ave. The Stapleton location was at 9135 E Northfield Blvd.

Costa Vida still has a presence in the metro area, as locations in Lone Tree, Westminster and Aurora are still operating. The company also has restaurants in Grand Junction and Colorado Springs.

The contraction in the midst of coronavirus restrictions follows the closure of an Englewood location in 2019 and a Broomfield location in 2017, the company said.

Costa Vida’s website lists more than 90 locations, the majority of them in the western United States.

Other Denver-area restaurants that won’t reopen as coronavirus restrictions ease are Euclid Hall, The Market in Larimer Square, 20th Street Cafe, Scratch Burrito & Happy Tap, Biju’s Little Curry Shop, La Cour, the Denver location of Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, 12@Madison, Tony Roma’s and all six Colorado locations of Rubio’s Coastal Grill.
