Trade show operator Outdoor Retailer on Thursday canceled its Summer Market 2020, which had been scheduled for June 23-25 in Denver.
“Recent developments have made it impossible to effectively execute a June show that delivers the level of connection, discovery, and value our community expects,” Marisa Nicholson, senior vice president and show director, said in a letter posted on the company’s website. “This is due to developments regarding COVID-19 that we are all familiar with at this point.”
Nicholson said the company explored alternative dates, but logistical issues and feedback from retailers prompted the decision to instead cancel the event.
Hiring: Denver-based DaVita said in a Thursday press release that it plans to hire 15,000 new employees in 2020.
Open positions include patient care technicians, registered nurses and nurse practitioners, social workers, registered dietitians, biomedical technicians, leadership roles in corporate and in kidney care centers, and corporate roles in divisions such as information technology.
The company noted that no health care experience is required for the patient care technician role.
