A mansion previously owned by the CEO of Sports Authority hit the market Wednesday for $3.95 million.
The seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom home at 1013 E. Belleview Ave. in Cherry Hills Village was listed by husband and wife Joe and Anna Trenkle. The couple bought the home in February 2018 from Michael Foss, former head of the defunct sporting goods retailer.
Joe Trenkle is president and CEO of All American Hemp Co., a farm and processing company based in Englewood. He said the couple is moving to Puerto Rico for new opportunities.
“My wife did not want to sell the home for the record,” he said. “ … It’s great for families. It’s great for social events. It has a really nice flow to it.”
Trenkle said it will be sad to move, but also that he “learned a long time ago not to fall in love with real estate.” Prior to his hemp company, he was in real estate.
The mansion, nicknamed Kempe Villa of Dreams Home, was built in 2008 to benefit the Kempe Foundation, a local nonprofit that works to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect.
